The Pinter Brewing System

I’ve been using the Pinter brewing system for a few months, and I am very happy with the results. I’m new to home brewing, and if you are too, this is a kit I would suggest you check out. It’s very easy, and I have been very happy with the quality and variety of beers I have made.

My Favorite Brews

So far my favorite beer from Pinter is the Appalachian Mountain Brewery Tropical IPS. Very tasty beer with a very subtle citric taste. I have enjoyed all of the beers I’ve tried so far and look forward to trying more.

Where to Get a Pinter

The site to order this product is: https://pinter.com/

I don’t make any money from this blog, I recommend stuff here because I’ve had good experiences.

The Pinter home brewing system offers a sleek, beginner-friendly way to craft fresh beer at home with minimal fuss—perfect for casual brewers or gift-givers.

🍺 “Brewing Made Simple: My Experience with the Pinter Home Brewing System”

If you’ve ever dreamed of brewing your own beer but felt overwhelmed by the process—boiling grains, sanitizing gear, timing fermentation—the Pinter might be your perfect gateway. Designed by the Greater Good Fresh Brewing Co., this compact, all-in-one brewing system strips away the complexity and replaces it with convenience, style, and surprisingly good taste.

🛠️ What Is the Pinter?

The Pinter is a self-contained brewing and serving vessel that arrives with everything you need to make beer at home. It includes:

  • A sleek barrel and Brewing Dock
  • Pre-measured ingredients in a “Fresh Press” pack
  • Yeast and purifier
  • A companion app with video guides and reminders

Each kit brews 10 to 12 pints of beer, depending on the model, and the process takes about 8 days total—6 for fermentation and 2 for conditioning.

🍻 Brewing Experience: From Setup to Sip

Here’s how it works:

  1. Sanitize and prep the Pinter.
  2. Add the malt extract, yeast, and water—no measuring required.
  3. Ferment for 6 days, then add hop oil for flavor.
  4. Condition for 2 days, attach the tap, and enjoy fresh beer.

The process is so streamlined it’s been compared to baking cookies with store-bought dough: not quite artisanal, but still satisfying.

🎨 Design and Usability

The Pinter isn’t just functional—it’s stylish. Available in colors like Tropical Yellow, Slate Grey, and Hot Red, it’s designed to look good on your kitchen counter. The latest model is made from recycled plastic and is 45% lighter than previous versions.

💬 Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Beginner-friendly: No brewing experience needed
  • Compact and attractive: Easy to store and display
  • Subscription options: Monthly beer kits with new flavors
  • Eco-conscious design: Recycled materials and reduced weight

Cons:

  • Taste varies: Some users report inconsistent carbonation or flavor
  • Limited customization: Not ideal for advanced brewers seeking full control
  • Initial cost: Around $149, though frequent promos offer discounts

🎁 Final Thoughts

Whether you’re gifting it to a beer-loving friend or trying it out for yourself, the Pinter is a fun, low-commitment way to dip your toes into home brewing. It won’t replace a full-scale brewing setup, but it’s a great way to enjoy fresh beer with minimal effort—and maybe even impress your buddies at the next cookout.

Ready to brew without the bother? The Pinter might just be your new favorite kitchen gadget.

Blue Moon

Blue Moon

Good beer. I have been enjoying it on a sunny day with a break in the Carolina heat we’ve been having.  My best friend’s wife got me started, and I think it’s definitely a repeat I will enjoy.

Looking for a crisp, citrusy brew with a smooth finish?  Blue Moon has a few standout varieties worth sipping:

You might want to check out:

• Blue Moon Belgian White A: A classic Belgian-style wheat ale brewed with Valencia orange peel and coriander. It’s known for its creamy body, zesty aroma, and signature orange garnish. This is the one I am drinking today.

• Blue Moon Light Sky Citrus Wheat B: A lighter option with real tangerine peel, subtle tropical hops, and just 95 calories. Perfect for beach days or casual hangouts.

• Blue Moon Mango Wheat C: Bursting with ripe mango and hints of honey, this fruity ale pairs beautifully with spicy dishes or mango salsa.

A Belgian-style white wheat ale, often called a witbier (Dutch for “white beer”), is a refreshing, hazy brew with centuries of tradition behind it. Here’s what makes it special:

 Core Ingredients & Flavor Profile

• Brewed with unmalted wheat, which gives it a cloudy, pale appearance and smooth mouthfeel.

• Typically spiced with coriander and orange peel, adding citrusy brightness and subtle spice.

• Often includes oats for extra creaminess and body.

• Low bitterness, with a crisp, slightly tangy finish from the wheat and lively carbonation A B.

 Appearance & Texture

• Pale straw to light gold in color, with a hazy or milky look due to suspended yeast and wheat proteins.

• Creamy head with good retention, contributing to its visual appeal A.

 Aroma & Taste

• Expect notes of citrus, spice, and light fruit—sometimes banana or clove depending on the yeast.

• Balanced sweetness and dryness, making it easy to drink and pair with food C D.

 Historical Roots

• Originated in Belgium, especially in the town of Hoegaarden, where monks brewed it as early as the 14th century.

• Traditionally made without hops, using a spice blend called gruut instead D.

This style inspired beers like Blue Moon Belgian White, which adds a modern twist with Valencia orange peel and coriander for a subtly sweet, citrus-forward profile B.

綾 Flavor Harmony

• The orange peel and coriander in the beer echo flavors found in many dishes—think citrus-marinated seafood or herb-laced salads.

• Its low bitterness and smooth texture won’t overpower delicate foods, making it a versatile companion.

 Contrast & Balance

• The beer’s lively carbonation and acidity help cut through rich or spicy foods like creamy cheeses, grilled meats, or Thai curries.

• It acts as a palate cleanser, refreshing your taste buds between bites.

燎 Complementary Pairings

• Seafood: Grilled shrimp, mussels, or ceviche shine with the beer’s citrus notes A B.

• Spicy dishes: Mexican or Thai cuisine with chili, lime, and cilantro pair beautifully with the beer’s spice and zest A B.

• Cheeses: Soft, creamy varieties like Brie or goat cheese are elevated by the beer’s subtle sweetness B.

• Salads: Especially those with citrus vinaigrettes or fresh herbs—perfect for summer meals B.

It’s kind of like pairing a crisp white wine with food, but with a little more personality.

I Tried Modelo Chelada Variety Pack

I’m always looking for a good new beer. The other day I tried Modelo Chelada Variety Pack. I was not impressed. It’s not really a beer, more like the fruity drinks. It offers a spice mixed with a fruit. I tried every flavor. I will be offering the last of this beverage to anyone dropping by, lol.

Welcome to my Blog

I have enjoyed a cold beer since I was in high school. I think my first experience with craft beers came later when a friend introduced me to Sky Blue Kolsch on the outside bar in Greenville, North Carolina at the Ale House.
